Headed to Alberta for a Spring Bear Hunt. What’s a good bear for that area?

I was invited to tag along on an Alberta Bear Hunt. Not a tremendous amount of bear hunting experience.

My question is what’s a good bear for Alberta? The outfitter has trail cam pics of some monsters, but should I shoot the first the 250ish pound I see?

Look forward to y’all’s input

Alberta is very good bear hunting territory.

Obviously the best source of info is the outfitter, but I would not be taking a shot at a 250 pound black bear in Alberta unless I was running low on time. If you are in a good area you will get a look at a lot of bears and I would be hoping for something over 350 or 400 pounds. 300 plus pounds would not be a surprising bear at all.

Thank you. Just wasn’t sure what to expect up there.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
