I cant wait hopefully all goes well tommorow and I get what i been wanting from the age of 10 .I have only had one chance to buy one in my lifetime .Its kinda silly but its a old cartridge thst got reborn then kinda faded away again .I will never forget one night telling my dad when i was 10 i wanted one but never got it .Its going to be a blast to shoot too .

Its a really fast one by the age of 10 I already was shooting a 3006 742 remington and 303 british .

Ok it’s a game is it - .220 Swift ?

.264 Win ?

This reminds me of the Facebook posts where people want attention and say things like, "Guys, I'm really going through a horrible, terrible, rotten time right now." And when people ask what's going on they say, "It's personal, I'd rather not talk about it."

Ok so I Win ?

Pity you not in NZ, we have very few .220 Swift rifles but thousands of cases & cartridges about, some how our Military Geniuses in the Army Corps bought 100,000 of thousands Norma .220 Swift ammunition & had nothing to shoot them in so sold off at a huge loss !!!

Dang wish I could have gotten those shells and brass .Its a tang safety ruger 77 with the varmet barrel not the sporter barrel like I thought .Its got good bit of crud in barrel bit i ran a rope through with clp got alot of it out .What was the army doing with 220 swift ? I hope i get another one and its just as smooth .I want to try .224 gold dot bullets in it that totally stay together no matter the speed they are shot .I dont know the maxium grain these will shoot with 1 in 14 twist .

dgr416, I hope you take the time to run more than just a "rope" through the bore to remove the "good bit of barrel crud." All new to me rifles get a thorough cleaning including the use of Bore Tech's Cu + 2 and if necessary Kroil applied to a bronze brush with 0000 steel wool wrapped around it.

I hope your "new" 220 Swift proves to be everything you were hoping for.

Its cleaned up really good bore is shiney agsin was very dark .I gotta get brass dies and bullets .I hate hornady brass but thats all thats made right now .I am going to try speer gold dot 55 gr bullets and r17 and see how they do.I bought three boxrs of hornady ammo but i cant stand their stuff hopefully Norma makes brass and ammo again .

I gotta dig out my 6x18 nikon scope for it .I almost sold it .Its got a old tasco scope on it .

It's a good "oldie but moldie" caliber that's wicked fast.....it does wear out barrels though.

Hope this post

The old thumb safety 77 heavy barrel 220 Swifts were tack drivers. As I recall, the 220 Swift heavy barrels were all Douglas barrels. And those 77's are in high demand and go for a premium. When they do come up for sale ,they don't last long.

I lnow I looked for 52 years for this one .The guy i got it from wanted my winchester model 94 444 marlin .I didnt trade just bought it outright .I missed that Ruger 77 mark II stainless 220 swift for 450 .Yes they are getting way up .I have tried to buy another one .I wish Ruger would make a run of 220 swift with the target stainless barrels with 1 in 7 twist .My ruger 77s in 338 win mag are super accurate they shoot clover leafs with winchester 200 gr power points .I cant wait to shoot this wont be long.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
