Did anyone spend any money so far at the Atlanta DSC convention?

regarding appearance, any woman who is telling the truth will admit that they eye guys up and down to get an idea of the situation. this includes being in shape (im not lol) shoes (i rarely wear nice shoes in an informal setting ) and watches. (this one i have covered ).

i guess it is no difference and is human nature at a show such as the DSC convention. just my humble 2 cents. overall the convention was fantastic in my opinion.
Too funny but true. I for one just don’t care and never have. I have been blessed to be successful in business and in life while not caring what people think. I guess that’s why my family and friends call me Rare Breex. My wife hates my safari attire especially elephant skin boots but she knows I will never change and accepts it. My favorite thing to do is wear my Kudu skin hat which I love and she hates when we go out…I truly am Rare Breed LMAO!!!!!

Kudu hat is better than zebra…just saying.

You know when I see the people on this thread and so many others it is no wonder why we all get along so well and enjoy each others company so much. We come from so many backgrounds yet we all share the same passion! God and life are indeed good!!!!!

While I have never been in the military my cousins have with one being a SEAL. I so enjoy when our members that have share their experiences like the look at a persons badges to quickly access their background. Let me assure you us civilians in business wish we could do the same thing when we meet new colligues

Yes HE gets to wear that but they broke the mold after that.

Speaking of veterans and the military, there is still time to sign up for the free SCI Veterans Breakfast a week from this Saturday at the Omni Hotel during the SCI Convention. I think family members can also attend for a very nominal fee. Open to all veterans/active/reserves of any service at any time of any country.

Presentation of the flag/colors by Tennessee Game and Fish officers, prayer, good food, excellent speakers, auctions for a few guns, raffle tickets, etc. I try to attend every year.

Plus, the different branches are called out for recognition and asked to stand. The Marines always make the most noise, followed a close second by the Army and then probably the Navy. Enjoy!

Happy hunting to all, TheGrayRider a.k.a Tom.
how do I sign up for the veterans breakfast ? I have the app and schedule and tickets for each day

The spots on that hat band appear to match a cheetah.
Depending on the photo or scene in the movie, it's a different hat band. In one scene it's clearly Zebra, another it's a solid color, in some promotional photos it's possibly one of the big cats.

You can probably call the SCI Headquarters in DC and get them to add the Veterans Breakfast to your tickets.

I think you can also get the Veterans Breakfast added to your profile at the check-in tables where you enter the showroom. I don’t have the membership telephone number in DC but it’s probably on the SCI website.

The hatband above with spots is not leopard. Leopard rosettes i.e. “spots” have a black outer ring with colored center. Cheetahs have solid black spots. It also might be a serval.

In any event, since Brian is such a suave and debonair kinda guy, I figure he needs to channel his own inner Gregory Peck with a genuine Zebra hatband, like this one.

From our own website sponsor African Sporting Creations.

Ooof...that's like trying to watch Dieter eat even 1 beet...and yes, there is a story to go along with that to be shared in Africa around the fire.

Laughing...one thing you will appreciate about me Mike is that I won't drain your alcohol supply! I'm happy with a cold soda and good conversation.
Good luck with that! You clearly don’t understand the forces at play with @spike.t

I dont mind admitting, she was probably what sealed the deal for me... they certainly would have selected someone else had she not been part of the bargain... no one wants a heathen like me sitting in the high seat otherwise :D

All kidding aside, she knows how to play the social side of things with the board and their wives, knows how to play the social side of things with the other executives and their spouses (a very different thing).. and, shes a successful executive level employee in her own right.. on more than one occasion I have "sold" her value to the company in that I have a "secret weapon" in my pocket that most other CEO's dont have.. Ive got a successful, 35+ year career, executive level accountant (former CFO of a mid sized publishing firm, current VP with a large hospitality management firm).. whose specialization is accounting systems that I spend all of my evenings with.. I get quite a bit of accounting and finance advice for free :)

Ive known her since I was 19 years old... Im honestly still amazed sometimes how she navigates the waters she does.. its nothing for her to don a pair of cargo pants and pick up a chainsaw and help me go clear land out where we deer hunt.. or to pick up her .375 and hunt a buff.. and then turn around, grab her Louis Vutton bag, slap on a pair of heels, and march into an owners meeting or a board meeting and deliver a brief..

Shes definitely a different sort of woman..
Definitely a factor. I’ve also learned that men have a difficult time saying no to a well put together woman. Because of this, I take my wife to most of the important meetings I have for this and other reasons. At a meeting with our local District Ranger and the Forest Supervisor for the multi-state Rocky Mountain Region of the US Forest Service, I took her along. Although not the main subject of the meeting, “we” also asked for a District-wide mountain lion outfitting permit that covered several hunting units to be added to our main permit. This is something that could potentially take months, if not years, of evaluation and study by FS staff. By the time the meeting ended, the DR told the Permit Administrator that handled our permits to add 50 days of lion hunting (7 hunts per year) to our operations! It would never have happened that quickly or possibly at all, without my wife asking.

I also take her to meetings with large ranch owners for the same reason. “We” usually get the lease. She’s my secret weapon.

There a fine line for salesman not being too pushy or aggressive versus being seen as not caring or ignoring people.
Rigby had the nicest professional and accommodating staff I encountered at the whole show. A very close second was Boyt. I bought stuff from both.

Very true. Being available and saying, "Let me know if you have any questions?" kind of does the trick. Sitting in a chair chatting with your friends and looking at your phone, not so much. :)

Very true. Unfortunately, I saw a fair amount of this. Luckily, none of them were rep'ing anything that I was interested in.

Well, the only negative thing I can say about Rigby is lack of swag. If I spend $100K for a rifle and a similar one possibly to be ordered I should not have to beg for just a hat. :ROFLMAO: They should have a bag with a shirt, hat etc. even a cartridge holder from Els that they are rebranding in the caliber of the rifle one orders.
