Did anyone spend any money so far at the Atlanta DSC convention?

Well, the only negative thing I can say about Rigby is lack of swag. If I spend $100K for a rifle and a similar one possibly to be ordered I should not have to beg for just a hat. They should have a bag with a shirt, hat etc. even a cartridge holder from Els that they are rebranding in the caliber of the rifle one orders.

Maybe they give you stuff upon delivery of the rifle. I did get a belt and cartridge holder for my Rigby ,450 NE. I am going to be ‘that guy’ on my hunt this year.

Definitely a factor. I’ve also learned that men have a difficult time saying no to a well put together woman. Because of this, I take my wife to most of the important meetings I have for this and other reasons. At a meeting with our local District Ranger and the Forest Supervisor for the multi-state Rocky Mountain Region of the US Forest Service, I took her along. Although not the main subject of the meeting, “we” also asked for a District-wide mountain lion outfitting permit that covered several hunting units to be added to our main permit. This is something that could potentially take months, if not years, of evaluation and study by FS staff. By the time the meeting ended, the DR told the Permit Administrator that handled our permits to add 50 days of lion hunting (7 hunts per year) to our operations! It would never have happened that quickly or possibly at all, without my wife asking.

I also take her to meetings with large ranch owners for the same reason. “We” usually get the lease. She’s my secret weapon.
