Anything less than 4 aces is a loser unless it is played with the additional rule that there needs to be at least one "natural" card in your hand for the wilds to be assigned, unless all that are in your hand are 10,2 or 4s.

Once in a while one the bunch would call Dr Pepper and everyone would let out a groan. Mostly they would play common games IIRC like: 5 Card Draw, 7 Card Draw, 5 Card Stud Low Ball, 5 Card Stud and the like. Usually with one Joker, sometimes Jacks or Better called. One of their favorites that included a wild card other than the Joker was 7 Card, Low Hole Card Wild. Fast forward to some of my games in school and later with co-workers - when Dr Pepper was called, most would roll their eyes and groan. I always thought one of the most vicious poker games was 5 Card Stud Low. and my favorites were on of the high-low split games...
