G'day Nyala23.

Thank you for your kind words! I look forward to hearing from you.

To ensure you enjoy the full Rigby experience, including meeting our team and exploring our workshops, weekdays are typically the best option. That said, we can arrange a visit on Saturday if that is the only day that suits your schedule.

I hope this helps.

Thank you again!

Good day, Forum Members.

At Rigby, we pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our customers and welcoming you as part of the Rigby family. We are excited to extend a special invitation to all Africa Forum Members to visit the Rigby premises and test out our exclusive rifles. This open invitation, from Marc Newton, our Managing Director, includes a guided tour of the Rigby showroom and museum, a behind-the-scenes look at our workshops (where the magic happens), and the chance to experience testing our rifles.

If you are planning to visit London, one of our team members would love to host you for the day. During your time at the range, you'll have the opportunity to test a Rigby rifle, be it our Highland Stalker and Big Game or a Rigby Double Rifle.

Should you wish to accept this invitation, please don’t hesitate to contact us with your preferred date and time. Our team will be more than happy to assist you in making arrangements.

Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming you!

This is on my bucket list. Visited your booth at SCI today and I was very impressed with the craftsmanship of your rifles.

On my one and only visit to the UK six years ago my wife and I showed up at the Rigby premises unannounced. I figured we could just show up like we would at any dealer in South Africa. We rang the bell and on opening they asked how they could help and asked if we had an appointment when we requested entry. We indicated that we did not have an appointment but they welcomed us with open arms anyway.

Andrew (now with Purdey) took us to the gunroom at the back of the premises, told us about the history of Rigby and let me handle a few of the firearms. He even took us through the workshop where the craftsman put together their masterpieces.

The hospitality shown to us really made me feel at home and way surpassed the reception received at one of the other big gun makers. I will not go to the UK again without visiting Rigby. Next time, of course, I’ll make an appointment and ensure I get to shoot some of your guns.

Thank you for the invitation!

David, 8/27/2025 is the day we are allotting time for our visit with you at Rigby. How much time do you need to share the experience? Thanks again for such a wonderful invitation!! Alan

G'day Nyala23.

Great! We look forward to your visit!

Regarding time needed for the experience, all depends on how much you wish to see and experience! If you wish to attend our premises, view our workshops and view our new building currently in the works, this can take up to a couple hours. However, if you wish to trial our rifles at the range, this will most likely require a whole day just due to travel etc. to and from the range.

I hope this helps!

Thank you.

Last week, my family was visiting London and we had the great opportunity to tour Rigby’s shop. What a great experience! We could not have been treated any better and my time there was the highlight of our trip for me. My son and I have been reading Jim Corbett’s books in the evenings and we were both thrilled to see his .275 rifle that we have read so much about (As an aside, my son has to track his reading minutes for a project at school. I find it funny when he’s writing in titles like “The Maneating Leopard of Rudraprayag” and “Maneaters of Kumaon” and I wonder what his teacher thinks when comparing his reading logs to others in his class).

We were able to watch the gunmakers working and their attention to detail and pride was very evident. The engravers are amazing. The quality of their work is just incredible. We saw some stocks being prepared for the 250th anniversary event with inlayed wood from the HMS Victory – what a fantastic idea!

I was able to spend a few minutes with a Highland Stalker and this was the first rifle I ever handled that felt alive and acted like an extension of my hand. I have started an additional savings account at my bank because I think I need one some day.

While many of the rifles they produce are well out of my price range, but it does my heart good to know there are people in this world that can start with a block of metal, files and few other tools and using their hands and knowledge can create works of art like this.

If your travels take you to London, I can highly recommend a visit and want to thank everyone at the Rigby team for the invitation!

Fantastic rifles!

Great offer. Definitely will take this up. When me and wife will visit London again I'll contact you.
If your gun safe is nearing its capacity I'll also volunteer to take one home. No problem, I'm that kinda guy ;)

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
