Just curious as to the year this rifle was manufactured? If you run the serial number through Ruger's website it will tell you. Thanks and great packaged deal here!

I'd say this is an early model from when the 416 Ruger was first introduced. They came without the muzzle brake. To me, it's preferable over the later rifles with the brake.

I agree with not having a brake. I was just curious as I recently purchased a like new 2014 .375 Ruger Guide Gun with a brake and was wondering about this rifle's "born on date" as a comparison to when Ruger first started adding a factory brake. Really a moot point as this is a great deal.

This one has a barrel band sling swivel. The early ones did not.

The brakes are removable of course.

Here is a great Brown Bear gun! Of course I might opt for a bit different scope.

Ruger serial number look-up indicates the rifle was shipped in 2012.

Totally want. Cannot afford at the moment. But this has been my dream big bore for a long time.

Any trade interests?

I bought mine in 2013 and it has a barrel band, never seen one without one.when did they start using the barrel band?
Mine was made in 2011 and did not have a band, so somewhere in there they changed.

Thanks for a nice transaction. Always good to meet another forum member with interesting experiences.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
