    How did you find AfricaHunting.com?:
    Friend/family
    About You:
Love all hunting from small game to white tails. Do alot of canoeing for smallmouth bass.
    I am a:
    • Hunter
    • Fisherman
    Member of:
    SCI
    Have you hunted in Africa?:
    Yes
Number of times I have hunted in Africa:
    Once
    My favorite African country:
I lived with my parents in Asmara in what was Ethiopia, but is now Eritrea. Other than that I just came back from a two week hunting trip in Vanderkloof, South Africa on 9/11/14. Had the trip of a lifetime!
    Hunted:
    U.S. and South Africa.
Species I have hunted in Africa:
Kudu, Gemsbok, Nyala, Impala, Springbok, Blesbuck, Black and Blue Wildebeest, Warthog and Common Duiker.
    My best African Trophy:
My Nyala! Have not had it measured yet but is my favorite trophy.
What weapon(s) do you hunt with?:
    • Rifle
    • Bow
    • Shotgun
    • Muzzleloader
    My preferred optic(s):
Leupold Scopes. Basically own just the Vari-x II models and have fine success with them.
    My best hunting tip:
Get out and shoot as often as possible and at varying distances. I know that I am stating the obvious, but it really is important.
    My other interests:
Fishing, canoeing rivers, trapping furbearers, camping.
Grew up overseas until I was thirteen and moved to Va. and have lived there ever since. Started hunting birds, squirrels and rabbits with a pellet gun and then moved up to a .22 rimfire at fifteen. My father does not hunt and did not have any family or anyone to show me the ropes so I just learned on my own. Took longer to kill my first deer but when I did, look out! I became a hunter for life.
