I carried a 460 Weatherby for a month moose hunting in one of the largest concentrations of brown bears in the world. Saw at least two dozen and was lights out on the moose. Not even a twitch.
Which bullet did you choose for the moose ? Great post, thanks. Appears your eyesight is good enough for iron sights and I think the brownies were lucky not to try their luck messing with you.
