So I was watching a trailer for an upcoming movie (Kong: Skull Island), and this image caught my attention more than anything else in the trailer. The recommended caliber for a cape buffalo the size of an office building would be an interesting discussion. A 15 inch naval gun might be a good minimum starting point.

240mm Howitzer might stun him long enough to get the h*** out of there.lol

I wonder what the spread would be on that.

Going off a video I watched within another thread, Id say they are both screwed..
1. Improper carry of weapon for DG
2. Appears to be a bolt action and everyone knows a bolt action just wont save you
3. Looks like strike 3 is the bino bra.
Yep they are screwed:ROFLMAO:

I think the naval cannon is the best option.

Everybody knows that the hip shot is the tacti"cool" way for effective shooting in any given scenario. I.E. video games and movies, they lead you to believe you just point and shoot. Sarcasm intended.

Stunning CG though. I'm going on a hunch here, guessing everyone on here would build the additional trophy room for that beast! I'll do the concrete, Dennis can do the mount.

It's nothing Sullivan couldn't handle!

Since this is supposed to be on an island, I'm thinking that a full broadside from a WW2 era battleship or battlecruiser about a mile offshore would be the way to go. The 'hunter' could coordinate the shot via radio by spotting with binoculars from a safe distance on one of those peaks in the background. Simply being present on the island and escaping alive would be more than sporting enough for 'fair chase' in my book.

If he coaxed a charge out of this bad boy and waited until it was 10 yards away to fire (actually the range is irrelevant), he might as well strap a warhead to himself and detonate it, if his sole objective was to stop the charge.

I think the cat on the left has it going on though, Rambo headband and a PRC-77 on his back, taking down gargantuan mbogo 1970's style! Makes the guy with the bino buddy look like a puss! Lol

45-70 :P Devil:

They like to let that thing go from about 20,000 feet. Those old C-130's (yes, the damn thing is so heavy it has to be dropped from a transport - spec warfare 130 - but still a cargo plane) can't take much shaking from the blast wave. But you are on the right track - would deal with the situation - though, maybe a bit hard on the Ramboettes.
