How to - traditional "slacum" oil

This came up in my youtube feed yesterday. I thought it was a decent video on how to make a traditional "British best" style oil. I know the different gun houses each have their own recipe for "slacum" or whatever you want to call it, but this seemed like a pretty approachable way to DIY this oil.

Very proper! Thanks for sharing. The Purdey slacum is very close to this.

The hardest thing for me was translating British to American. Venetian Turpentine and Gum Turpentine is what I found as American names for some of his ingredients.

Thanks mate. Appreciate your input on this. I thought similar, but was just going from memory - which is increasingly a weak link
