I think he'll get a life sentence. I would be surprised if the father didn't had some kind of negotiation with the authorities by bringing him in. I read his father is cop. He will plea guilty and gets life.

I dont think his father can pull any strings for him unless he s a lawyer , I think he's a deadman walking

So you jump to a cop beating his kids? I highly doubt that. His father talked him in to peacefully turning himself in.

While we don’t know what happens behind closed doors at home, we do absolutely know what goes on at school with liberal teachers and administrators. I had to call out teachers at the schools my kids attended for ridiculous statements they made in class. I actually received apologies and corrections were shared with the whole class. Parents must be more engaged once the kids get home and with schools. I’ve witnessed a lot of conservative parents that avoid political discussions with their kids and it rarely works out well. Parents need to be interested and proactive.

And when people ask me why I took a 50% salary cut and lost $350k on the sale of my home in IL to move to WI, I'll direct them to the first paragraph for the answer.

Over here we talk a LOT about politics, capitalism, career, personal accountability, debt, and savings. If you don't talk to your kids about these important facts of life on a daily basis, you're going to raise a liberal loon and you'll eventually be forced to raise your grandchildren. People that want "kids to be kids" are not equipping them for the future they are facing.

Yup. I never thought I'd be saying this but the wife and I are talking about homeschooling. At the very least, as far as we can go with it. A lot can change can happen between now and when that time comes though. They are young, thank God.

In Austin I was surrounded by liberal loons from their 20-40's who would sit around and spew the most vial things you can imagine about everything from capitalism to oppression by conservatives; I would quietly snicker when their wealthy parents would show up for a visit and it became apparent that the most fervent haters of the American way of life owed everything they have to wealthy parents; who they would not bring around their normal places of alcohol consumption and the looks on their faces were priceless when I would walk up to their parents and start a conversation about the benefits of socialism was a constant source of entertainment for me.

Seems we have the same with this shooter who grew up in a wealthy suburb, raised in a 6 bedroom house with stable parents.

The shooter has been described as a social media autistic who undoubtably absorbed countless hours of the "my life sucks because of fascism and the evil conservatives", these kids are made to feel constant guilt in how they were raised and grow a sense of debt to their idealist/leftist society for the "privilege" they grew up with.

If your area has school of choice or a good Christian school nearby, that’s something to look into as well. Kind of a pain to drive your kids across town to a different school but something to consider.

Another thing to consider is to move to an area with a great school. That’s what we did. We had horse pasture five minutes from our house in town but sold the pasture and sold our house in town to an investor buying rental houses and rented it back while building a house further out of town with other pasture. The grade school by our new property was rated #6 in the state. We still had to deal with liberal teachers who lived in town who drove out to the country school every day to work but they were in the minority and had no choice but to conform in our community of ranchers and rural property owners.
