Coincidentally I bought my sr20 full stock in 9.3x62 from Paul in the 90s....they fitted the side mount qd scope...Great little rifle

Thank you Andrew. I appreciate it. Just over 8 pounds with the scope. I can get the ounces when I get home if necessary.

Thanks again

“Here is one of the responses from Rigby when I inquired about the rifle.

Hello There

I am not sure what they did in full.

Some people here think they would have scoped, shot and tested the rifle.

Also some cosmetic work plus the engraving.

It would have been given an overhaul too.

I hope that helps.
Best Regards”

Would agree with that...just had a look and my butt pad etc are same....I would say one they had in stock and scoped and zeroed...and fitted the oval and engraved the initials same as mine

Spike, did they lap the barrel? Smooth the action?
Or are they just that accurate from Heym ?

 "Au contraire, mon frère"

My left-handed Son in law shoots a right handed rifle very well.

From memory no....I had one of the heym 500 NE bolt action rifles that I had bought from Paul....but on a hunt when I was carrying it and very thirsty I could hear something like gurgling in my ear which made me even more thirsty....drove me up the wall till I shook the stock and realised the noise was coming from it...Mercury recoil reducer....when I got back I couldn't forgive the rifle :E Big Grin: ..so asked Paul what I could do....ended up swopping the 500 NE for the sr20 and a ruger rsm in 375 h&h as a loaner for people I booked hunts for at the time...so the scope would have been fitted and sighted, and functions checked and that would have been it...same as the other rifles I bought from him that weren't rigbys ..they are just a good rifle

Spike, did they put the shadow line in your cheek piece? And engrave the floor plate and trigger guard also?
