I truly believe this: ANY sane conservative democrat could have beaten Trump in the last election. Tip O'neal, Dick Gebhardt, Gary Heart, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, etc, etc. Fortunate for Trump, the Dems are now full blown anarcho-Marxists.

The D's are trying to win using the same old playbook that used to work fine for them, but that has been failing them for the last couple of years.. they are relying on main stream media to manipulate stories and advance their agendas, and they are relying on people only listening to half truths..

I listened to a bit on MSNBC this morning that kept harping on Trumps "low" 45% approval rating.. they kept implying that it means that 55% of the people disagree with him or prefer the D's to Trump..

What they fail to report (and people fully recognize and understand) is that Trump not being popular with more than half the country doesn't automatically mean that D's are popular with more than half the country.. As of yesterday a national poll shows the D party at large has a 44% approval rating..

Newsome specifically has had his popularity polling drop dramatically in 2025.. he's down 26% from this time last year, with only 13% of Californians saying they have an improved perception of him over last year.. (everyone else thinks the same, or more poorly of him)..

What they further don't report is how divisive the D party is internally.. 92% of R's (whether they support Trump or not) support the deportation plan. The party is very unified on this issue.. 54% of ALL Americans support the deportation plan.. that tells you that there are a number of D's and independents that are also on board.. whereas only 18% of D's believe that Newsome and Bass have taken appropriate measures to control the riots in LA..

They attempt to tell half a story through MSM outlets.. and no one in the US (D or R) is buying it anymore (although it would appear some Europeans are bathing in the medias bullshit)...

It might be good to do some reading prior to posting.

There has been a decent amount written regarding two groups so far that are funding the LA riots. One is CHIRLA which is primarily funded by the state of California. Yes, I know it sounds stupid but the california taxpayers are funding their own riots to the tune of over $30m in each of 2023 and 2024.

The other group is PSL which is primarily funded by Neville Singham. Yes, An American billionaire living in China. This is not a delusional conspiracy theory like you seem think.

The good news is it looks like DOJ and the US Senate are both looking into the funding sources. There are probably a number of lesser known groups that may be outed in this process.

Proof that a Democrat mayor of a major city can work with even a Republican governor of a major state to protect its citizens. Abbott is sending the NG in response to a formal request made by the San Antonio police, which has been supported by its outgoing mayor (the mayor elect is also a Democrat).

Perhaps Bass and Newsome should pay attention and learn something..

Im going to guess anything that happens in San Antonio will be minor in comparison with LA, and will be put to rest fairly quickly by the local LEO's, federal LEO's, and the National Guard working together as designed..

Chicago *was* the cleanest, safest, best major city in the entire USA. Run by a corrupt "old school" democrat with sound mob ties and a ruthless police force, Old Man Daley and his Son created a faustian bargain with the criminal underworld. "You can sling all the drugs and do all the murders you want near the projects like Robert Taylor Homes and Cabrini Green, but you will die if you ever cross the river and ruin River North, Old Town, Gold Coast, etc. with any of your nonsense".

And just like that, 75 years of an immaculate city where the thugs stayed in their criminal playpens and you could walk anywhere, park anywhere, be out after dark anywhere.

Fast forward to Rahm Emmanuel as mayor and George Soros funding DA's campaigns that will not prosecute crime and introduced cashless bail. the problem as I see it is that the actions taken to suppress the riots will only be used by the left to justify more riots.

The left doesn't need or care about legitimate justification to sew anarchy. They never have and never will rely on actual justification as an excuse to break the law...

Secondly, these "protests" are nothing more than an excuse to riot... None of these protests are organic and none of this is for an actual cause other than to disrupt society. I would wager about 1 in 20 in attendance at these "protests" are actually there to peacefully and lawfully protest what they perceive to be unfair immigration policy... The vast majority are paid actors sent to create chaos and incite violence. Many others are just local thugs who are using these protests as the latest excuse to loot and destroy property for no other good reason than they are criminal assholes...

The vast majority of American people are done with this bullshit... Especially the ones who are trying to get to and from work while these assholes are blocking highways and streets.

There needs to be a fundamental change in society where we can get away from this tit for tat justification of actions and find some common ground to turn the temperature down or we may well end up fighting a civil war across the entire North American continent.

Sadly, the solution is actually quite simple provided that the governments in charge had the balls and determination to act swiftly and overwhelmingly to protect the law-abiding citizens who pay their salaries... Unfortunately, they do not... The "fundamental change" you speak of was elected back in November of 2024... Trump is doing what he said he would do when the local governments fail to act... It's only when these collective anarchists and criminals are dealt with zero tolerance, and these riots are suppressed swiftly before they can take hold, you will see the end of this kind of crap on a wholesale level...

There is no common ground to build on with these lunatics... Furthermore, you do not negotiate with terrorists... I honestly thought this would happen a couple of months ago after they returned Ft. Bragg to its original name. That was the test case.. it proved successful.. I figured they’d move quickly on all the other forts… I was wrong…

I’m guessing they held onto it on purpose… right now while the left is screaming about deporting illegals, changing fort names won’t get more than a footnote in the press… smart move on their part…

Do you think it's a sustainable move though? I just can't picture the bases remaining named after Confederates in perpetuity. When they leaned into taking Confederate names off of everything I thought it would have been a better idea to just rename anything that was named after a Confederate to someone who died in the GWOT (I'm originally from the Richmond, VA area, lots of Jeff Davis this and Stonewall Jackson that stuff around there). I always thought it would have been better for conservatives to get ahead of the narrative and maintain a decent naming convention in the spirit of honoring people who served, and to keep everything from being named after some trans activist or George Floyd or something.

There was an alumni from a local High School in the RVA area (Spc. Clarence Adams III) that was killed in Iraq in 2004. He was a black guy, football player, good student, etc. His older brother served in the Gulf War, his dad in Vietnam, and his grandfathers in a segregated military in WWII. It would have made sense to me to take something named after a Confederate, and change it to something after him, to honor his and his families' service, easy political win too.

I don't personally have any issues with CSA memorials or anything, just seemed like a way to get ahead of it.
