Hi, Can anyone recommend a cotton long sleeve safari shirt?.
Something that would look great on the hunt as well as a casual day out.

Tag Safari shirts are good ones. Also, Ruggedwear shirts are comfortable. I use both in long and short sleeve for most of my hunting.

Why cotton? By a 511 tactical or check our Duck Camps field shirts

My wife and I have the Orvis Bush Shirt, but it seem like they are not available anymore. I know that Cabela's has offered several all cotton shirts, but I'm not sure what availability is at this time.

I would be looking for dark earth tones in a full cotton or linen fabric. Most outfits use a hot iron to assist in drying clothes and polyesters don't seem to do well in these conditions.

Why complicate it?

I just wear a light flannel woodland cammo shirt that I also wear here in the states when I am hunting. It looks nice, takes the chill off in the mornings, and is practical.

You are not going to a fashion show.

If you will be hunting where there are Tsetse flies and still want to look sharp Westley Richards is what I wear. Pricey yes but no better quality

I work for the Georgia DNR (my retirement job).

I wear 5.11's every day.

The Tactical Short or Long Sleeve cotton shirts are great.

Tag Safari is great too.

I have a few Cabela's Safari shirts (they are thicker), but they don't seem to offer them anymore.

I was in Vienna before a stag hunt and bought an OD linen shirt from Springer that I like a lot better than cotton. Might consider linen as a nice alternative. Good luck.

All my other shirts are Tag as well. comfortable, light and quick drying

I wear Cabela's Silent Hide shirts. Most comfortable shirts I've ever owned. And they wear like iron. I've worn five of them almost every day since 2019 and still going strong. Sleeves are almost too long ... which is very rare in this age of skimpflation. I prefer their "strata" camo pattern over Realtree. Don't need camo but that's the way they make them. They don't look like safari shirts but that doesn't matter to me. They look good and feel good.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
