Hi everyone, I will be flying Delta 200 Atlanta to Johannesburg later this year in comfort plus. For those who have flown recently, is the highlighted green seat the best option? It looks like there is a bulkhead there - on some intl flights I’ve seen the bulkhead eating up legroom on those seats, while on others I’ve seen those seats having lots of extra legroom. Delta did not make me pay extra or call this a preferred seat, which is making me concerned the bulkhead will eat into my legroom. Hoping that someone who has made the trip recently can answer once and for all - can’t find a firm answer online

I’d personally take one of the aisle seats rows 31-33 so you can put your backpack under seat in front of you if overhead is full. Row 30 won’t have that option.

When are you flying? Ill be heading in May on this flight but on premium select. I can check for you if you are flying out later than me

Not an answer to your question but be aware that just because you have that seat picked out, at boarding time you may be shuffled to another. Delta is known for pulling this stunt. As far as bulkhead seats, window on an exit row could remove some side legroom.

I will be on that same flight in August. 41J in main cabin is what you are thinking about…it has no seat in front of it giving me more leg room than first class and is $1000 less than comfort+

Make sure it has a movie screen if that is important to you-
There is no way that I would get onto a 14+ hour flight without a movie screen. They might be bad movies but at least they are something to watch other than other passengers standing in line to get to the lavatory.

The comfort + are recliners so your legs will be on the foot rests. I would say you might want to be back a row so you would have the handy room under the seat in front of you. TV and table come out of the arm rests.

If I was flew coach I would pay extra to be in an Emergency Exit ; or I would Delta Comfort. Whatever seat you find if Delta decides on another plane the configuration may be different and you are screwed and trust me they will do nothing to accommodate you.

Unless you are way over 6’ tall you will be fine. I bought my son seat 30C a few years ago when he went with me. He was fine!

Went with row 31G the last time I did this flight.
My son and I are on it again this July, but we just went main cabin this time - 38G.
I have to say that I like a seat back in front of me for the movie screen, table tray, and the under seat storage room, even though I hardly ever use it. Not a fan of arm rest trays.
I do like this flight as it gets you there in one hop, but it's a long one.

flew it last august, you will have more legroom, there is a movie screen that swings up, the only thing you wont have is a place to slide your backpack under the seat in front of you.

This has been my preferred row for many, many safaris. I like bulkhead. I am so glad that many others dislike it for various reasons so it is available for me to book!

Overhead will not be full since it is dedicated to Comfort+ only.

Only for a mom with a baby that needs the bassinet that attaches to the wall. It happens but ive never seen it.

THere are no planes flying that far without IFE screens These days.

Thanks - I always need the room under the seat in front of me for legroom anyway so this actually isn’t much of a concern for me. Allegedly I’ll have dedicated overhead space either way. Thank you for the input!

I leave in late august. Would definitely appreciate the first hand knowledge!
