My Ruger M77 Mk.II in 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser. This was my first rifle. Got it for Christmas when I was 11. I've only switched the stock and replaced the trigger with a Timney.

Yes. I just got that stock from Ruger. They said they didn't have any laminate stocks available, but that they could make it. I asked for a black (meaning the typical gray/black laminate) and they sent me that one 10 days later. Not what I was expecting, but I really like it.

This is my favorite rifle. Because I built it from scratch. I bought a Winchester made Enfield M17 that had hung on a wall for about 50 years. Did a ton of research for a "one rifle safari" and settled on the .375 Weatherby. It's got more zoot than the H&H and you can fire H&H's out of it. I had Douglas Barrels in WV, USA, make me a barrel. I really wanted an A-Square Hannibal but they were always in and out of business, so I built a clone. MPI stocks out of Oregon make a Hannibal stock. I got one. I had to do a TON of work to the action. It was originally cock on close...now it's cock on open. Trigger was junk so installed a Timney...now it's excellent. Got open sights from New England Gun Works and they make excellent stuff but you pay for it....I hate barrel bands so got an under mount sling swivel that we silver soldered on so it looks like a 1900 Westley Richards. I put a 16 ounce mercury recoil reducer in the stock. We cut off the swept bolt handle and put on a straight Talley one. Made custom scope bases and I use Talley rings. In the end, I throw a 300gr at a chronographed 2889 ft/s which is almost .378 Weatherby territory. I can reliably hit a 1" square rock at 80 yards with it, and I've cut bullet holes on paper. Douglas said their .375 barrels are usually pretty accurate and that is true. Recoil is healthy, but with the Coil Chek stock and shooting from the standup position, it's been fine. I also have a factory Weatherby Accumark .270 Wby Mag that I've nuked many whitetail with and love it. And my latest acquisition has been a Model 70 Winchester with a curly maple stock in .264 Win Mag which I have grown to love and it drops Bambi's just like the .270 Roy. But, this one, that I built, is my favorite. Next one will be a .458 or larger

FN Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Stainless in .30-06 with McMillan Hunter Edge stock, 4x33mm Leupold FX-II in Warne QD rings., Burris Extreme Tactical steel picatinny bases. It's seven pounds and points like a shotgun for me.

The ergonomics are stellar, it's simple and rugged, takedown/field stripping is easy, I like the three position safety, the 22" barrel doesn't jar like shorter barrels do and it isn't too skinny. No plastic other than the fiberglass and carbon fiber stock.

Iron sights don't work as well for me lately, so I'll change to an Aimpoint if I want the no magnification experience.

I hear somewhere that @Forrest Halley has just updated his 300 black out to a better version as he was getting tired of missing those little critters. Hopefully his new set up will help his aiming issues.
The seller sent ne a picture of Forrests new rifle but asked me to keep it under wraps but I don't think he will mind.

I don't know, but it could be a prototype of Remington's soon to be released .300 Whiteout Hypersonic cartridge. Developed alongside the .360 Buckhammer, the Whiteout was developed specifically for hunting squirrels and errant balloons. With an optional factory loading of Woodleigh's tungsten carbide penetrator tipped (TCPT) bullet, it could also be used for shooting down aluminum skinned dirigibles or hunting banteng and scrub bulls when taking head shots at up to 1,000 yards. How innovative!

Ruger No1's in general, but the Tropical 375 H&H is a thing of beauty that does job time after time. Mine is since sold but continues to do great things in it's new owner's hands.

I think i might get one of those supersconic white out things, mice are a pest here at the moment. Are dies avail yet ? may be able to reload to better 35 Whelen ballistics. Do i need a long or short action , & what about the bolt face? or is it easier to a go 50 BMG /35 wild cat?
