Hi Paul. It was terrific getting to meet you. I hope you made it home without issue. Happy Memorial Day!

Thanks.
Happy Memorial Day to you.

This first time experience can help you prepare for your next safari and allow you to better prepare your daughter for her first trip.

Had a delay through US customs, but no big deal. Made it home around 4:15a Saturday morning.

Did you have any problems on your way home?

It was nice meeting a fellow AHer in transit.

It was a tight transfer in Doha - they met us and rushed us to our plane. But other than that, it went off without a hitch and all my stuff arrived with me. Still kind of surprised it was as painless as it was.

Ditto meeting you sir. I hope our paths cross again sometime. Happy Memorial Day weekend.

Same here in Doha. Rushed through with an escort. Had about a 20-30 minute wait before boarding.
I sold @Inline6 some 416RM ammo and everything went very well. Great communication and payment was fast. A pleasure to do business with. Enjoy the ammo.
Hi Mark,
I appreciate your kindness.

G’day Geoff,
Mate, I noticed you purchased a rifle from overseas.... can you tell me the procedure of importing a rifle to Australia from a private seller?
Cheers

Really sorry about the delay in responding; The purchase fell through, but the Importer took the rifle onto his books; sold it very soon after .The importer specialises i doing this; Black Range Firearm, in Dandenong, Victoria. Well worth a call, he's very helpful, and knowledgeable. Best of luck!

I did a little housekeeping in my shop and found some .500 Jeffery ammo that I no longer need. Superior Ammunition and Hendershots loaded them, along with AHR (American Hunting Rifles). Several Woodleigh/A-Square solids along with lead bullets in both 535g and 600g. Message me for any details.

Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian

That's an incredible sable,...congrats. I'm hunting with Gary Duckworth June 2021 in Zimbabwe. I think the Duckworth boys are dialed in.

Thank you! Definitely a once in a lifetime trophy. Yes, the Duckworth family has been doing it successfully for many years. Top notch, in my opinion.
I am headed back to Zim with them in 2022 and hunting in the Save!!
Heard you may have load data for the 500 Jeffery,.....any info would be appreciated. Was thinking 535gr, but already had a response that the 570gr would be a better way to go, not sure why.

I would be interested as long as they aren't loaded up too hot. Its impossible to find brass right now. There is some Jamieson brass in austrailia in stock but I haven't had good experience with that brass. If you have any components I'd be interested. I already have dies.

No, they were not loaded hot. I have never been a fan of pushing the limits on handloads, especially on the big bores. I typically start around the low end and work up from there but never to max. I will also look to see what components I have left. I am pretty confident I have some bullets and maybe some spent brass as well.

And yes, finding reloading components for most calibers is difficult now.
