ZIMBABWE: Has Anyone Hunted With Martin Pieters Safaris

Thinking of booking hunt with ph Martin Pieters in Zimbabwe. Anyone know anything about him?

He’s been around a while. I think he generally has a good reputation. I have a friend who does some freelance PH work for him and I haven’t heard anything other than good things.

I’m sure someone will come along shortly who has some firsthand experience with him.

I hunted with Martin way back in 2009, 2010 and 2011 in Omay North, Omay South and Rossland. Great safaris all... I didn't get everything I was after namely lion but had excellent safaris and couldn't say Martin didn't give it 110%

Had a great hunt with Martin Pieters Safaris in the Omay back in 2012(?). Dalton Tink was my PH, as he was his 1st year out as a licensed PH. Dalton is Martin’s nephew. There has been a little “competition “ between the two since then, mainly over concessions. Not sure where that stands now. If Martin was operating in an area I was interested in. Would love to book a hunt with him.

Just finished my first safari with Martin. I luckily found him on this forum. I can’t say enough good things about him. We hunted in Zimbabwe and shot bull elephant , cape buffalo, zebra, kudu, warthog, reed buck, impala and waterbuck.

My best mate and his family hunted with Martin Pieters in like 2010 northern Omay
He had some quota miscommunications with them ( and didn’t want to keep chartering a plane to move keep moving to other concessions to fill them ) , they didn’t return my email when I sent them a request? ( it didn’t matter because I got out voted 3:1 to go with a different operation) hope they worked out their hiccups
