Your Powder Selection Criteria?

I look at what powders I have on hand and then reference load data; if I have a good selection of powders I start with what’s in stock.

If not I again consult load data and online posts for positive results with the powders I’m considering.

I’ll try to start with a pound or two and if it works, buy in 5-8lbs jugs….. trust me on that

Thanks for the advice. My main purpose for reloading is some reduced loads for practicing with my 458wm, and some target rounds for my 357 mag
FYI H110 is not for anything but full power loads. I don’t know what power level you are after for your 357 target loads but for reduced loads you will need something else.
For a lighter loads win 231 (HP38 is the exact same) or Winchester 244 would do nicely.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
