Needing some help on identifying this rifle and this seems the place to do it. Is it just a custom ordered rifle? Super grade? Surely can’t be a safari? Thanks for any help

That serial number looks to be early or mid 1990's, but Winchester can confirm. And I just gotta ask, where is that wall of beautiful rifles? :)

I would suspect that was a Shot Show Special.

I suspect that it could be a Winchester custom shop rifle. Winchester should be able to tell you for sure.

Appreciate the help guys. Does anyone have a good number to call Winchester in customer service to talk to without hours of wait or a good email address? This one has me stumped for sure on exactly what it is.

Here you go.

NEVER show a Serial Number on The Net!!!

Use the photo editor on you phone to block out a few of the numbers.

Looks like a 1989 serial number. I am thinking it was just restocked, nicely, sometime in its later life.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
