1969 safe queen, CRF, Serial number G49206, Incredibly beautiful stock & checkering, fantastic condition, original owner told me he fired it 4 times, light lines of cracks around recoil pad, all original Model 70.

$2650 shipped - not interested in any trades right now, thanks!

This is a Model 70 Classic CRF made in New Haven, but not in 1969.

M70 Classic CRF were made in New Haven from their introduction until something around 2006, when that factory closed.

Oops! I meant to say that the M70 Classic's were made at New Haven Conn. between their introduction in 1992 until 2006 when the factory closed. @358 Norma is most likely more accurate with the date than I was.

I have those Winchester Express iron sights on both my 404 Mauser and Springfield 30-06. The rear sight folds down and is fully adjustable. Very nice.

@Bighorn191 is a good friend of mine. Buy with confidence. No worries about being a new member.

Those are definitely nice rifles, I have one in a 416 Remington mag and I like it more then the current Safari Express Winchester offers!

Yeah thanks, this is what Winchester told me as well...it's a 1993. Great info!

Let's drop the price to $2500 shipped...

That is an excellent and very fair price for a New Haven model…good luck with the sale. (I already have one)

Do you have their number you can share? I have a model 70 in 375 H&H I would like to find out more about. I think it was built in 1965 or 1966 but not sure. I just killed a Cape Buffalo and Crocodile with it 2 weeks ago. They are very nice rifles.

Great, thank you very much! I just called them and they said mine was built in 1967.
Yeah it's pretty good that they can look it up quickly - the chart of manufacture dates gprippers posted earlier is spot on and great information! My OP said mine was a 1969 but that was from the original owner and it turned out to be pretty off - he thought it was super old just because of the 5 digit serial number...turns out Winchester has a fairly colorful past when it comes to their serial numbers.

Great looking wood on it! GLWS

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
