Making a new thread because the last one was dirtied up and I’ve changed pricing and making this a single bundle of everything you need.
This 30-06 has under 400 rounds down the tube, probably closer to 300, and the barrel has never been let to get hot. No more tha 2 shots ever in quick succession before letting the barrel cool. With handloads it shoots very MOA at 300 yards, with me often ringing the 3” gong with it 9 times out of 10, with the misses usually being from me pulling the shot. This gun was very early Portugal manufacture, I bought it in 2015 and at the time it was already a discontinued model, so it was most likely a 2013-2014 manufacture, but I can look it up for certain if you’re curious. 24” barrel, no muzzle threads
$1450 as the whole package, shipped to your FFL in the 48, if Alaska you pay shipping, and if local sale subtract $75 from price. Willing to split but offering package mainly.
Traces I would consider for partial or full value
•300 WSM, preferably with wood stock. Custom or Winchester/browning/tikka/similar quality
•.257 barrel blank with 1:8 or faster twist
•English or Turkish walnut rifle stock blank, preferably straighter grain but high contrast, but will consider whatever you have.
•Something in a dangerous game legal chambering, (full gun or barreled action, 375 H&H, 416 rem, rigby, 458 win)
•Custom bare action with magnum or lapua bolt face, medium or long action.
What’s included.
•Rifle (as pictured)
•Vanguard 9-13” bipod
•Leupold 3-9x40 VXR Firedot, with 30mm main tubes. Good tough scope perfect for plains game, fresh battery installed and works like any normal scope if the battery dies. New these were around $650 10 years ago, and go for around $450-550 nowadays.
•Pelican 1750 case, with foam cut for everything that’s included, as pictured. If you don’t want the bipod you could cut out squares for ammo or cleaning kits, or buy a new center foam and make it a double rifle case. $350 if you were to buy it new.
•4 boxes of projectiles, around 150 ABLR 210gr, and a similar amount of 178 ELDX
•Reloading dies for 30-06, your choice of Full length size or neck size.
The scope I had on another rifle for load development. I re installed it but it will probably need to be leveled. However, level the scope, sight it in and this gun is ready to hunt any non dangerous game anywhere in the world. Load up some ammo for really precise shooting, otherwise it shot factory ammo pretty well too, around 0.7 to 1 MOA pre Covid. Haven’t shot factory ammo with it since 2019 so you’ll probably have to find an ammo it likes, but it shot the hornady factory eldx ammo pretty well, just not as good as handloads.
Trigger is crisp, no creep or over travel. It’s from before they started making the MOA trigger worse.
Emotionally I’ve let this rifle go, so it’s time for it to actually be gone so I can start buying things I’ll actually use. Maybe you could buy a wood stock for it and take it to Africa! But even if you keep the stock, I actually find it a really nice feeling synthetic, and overall a wonderful rifle. I just have other projects I need to tend to right now.
Negotiable within reason, will split up but right now I just want everything gone so prioritizing that. Local sale gets discount, located in Omaha and can and do travel frequently to Kansas City, Cedar Rapids Iowa, Des Moines. Or anywhere within 2 hours at no cost.
Any pics you would like available on request
