Why no hunting in India, and could it ever be re-opened?

Where there is a WILL, habitat, and a viable breeding population of animals, there is a way. Central (skinny part) of Vietnam was once game paradise according to the book, "I killed for a living"
Countries should look at the income/conservation available from hunting, if they have realistic compassion for wild fauna.
Hopefully Captive Bred Tiger hunts won't take off, if hunting is opened...
For India, the Will is the hardest part. A majority of the country is Hindu. They worship pretty much everything from rats up.

Where there is a WILL,
As of this moment, I dont see the will to open hunting in India, and Kenya.

I would classify China as being at the verge. With possible need for some political push. They had some hunting options only few years ago.

Kenya would seem to be more likely than India, but I really don't fore see either of them opening before my hunting days are done.

I would still kill rats and say they had bad karma catching up to them, lol. Then again, there is a caste of the rat catchers, so due to agricultural/economic concerns there is already action being taken.

On a more Germain note, I wonder if darting tigers could be given a try?

iirc you can already hunt in Kenya. But only small game, birds etc.

True, but I'm not going to travel to Kenya to shoot a few birds when I can do that in countries where I can hunt bigger game. For me, Africa is about the adventure of hunting animals bigger than birds.

Understandable. But I'm not ruling it out, maybe do some sightseeing with the wife. Who knows what the future holds.
