Which chambering for hunting plains Game?

If you hunt Africa where DG is a daily observation, Id use a .338 or 375 for PG and in case I ran across something big and bad that intends me harm....If in So. Africa I use a 30-06 for all of the PG including Eland, and I have with satisfaction..

I do agree with the thinking that if you are hunting where there is dangerous game a 375 ruger or h&h makes sense. In RSA and Namibia plains game area a 30-06 class cartridge is enough. Once I bought a cranograph and a 30-06 with a 24 in barrel I don't think the magnums are all that great.

It might have been stated before here but my preference as a do it all have always been my trusty 93x62. With good 286gn bullet at about 2200 + fps, anything up to 200m has pretty much dropped where they stood.
