Looking for a pair of binos for my daughter, used scuffed up fine, just ex glass. She drew a Nevada deer tag this year and want her involved in the glassing!

Just missed those Vortex Razors for $100 that sold yesterday here, just wow….

In my opinion, the three things no one should bring up at a bar are politics, religion and optics. Oh, and the 6.5 Creedmoor, unless it's a gay bar...(joke)

That being said, I'm a birder and hunter and have been for 46 years. I've gone from 7x56 binoculars, to 10x42, to 8x40's with a lot of stuff in between. Then I bought a pair of Zeiss 8x25s to keep in a small deer pack. Wow. Just wow. I use them for hunting 100% and have started carrying them for birding. The better performance during, maybe, 5 minutes of light at the very end of the day just doesn't justify carrying the extra 16 ounces around my neck for the rest of the day. I'm 5'11" and 190 lbs in pretty good shape too so I know a young female would appreciate the lighter weight. The optics on these tiny binoculars are, in my opinion, stunningly better than any other pair I've got. Just my opinion...BH Video opens at sunset on Saturday.

If you move up another 100 bucks, you get in to a pretty decent space, in my opinion. But in that range, I think Burris is probably the best best.

You should be able to get a decent set of used leupolds for that…

Or.. if you happen to be a US military veteran, leupold has a VIP program that essentially provides members with wholesale pricing for a couple of purchases per year.. you could likely get a pair of mid range leupolds brand new around the $300 mark…

I have some lightly used Nikon Monarch (series 5 I believe) that I would sell for $250 obo shipped

Two guys brought Vortex bins on our hunt this year. I was very impressed by them. The binoculars !

If you really want to teach her hunting and make her part of the team, she either needs the same quality you use, or you need to let her use the good ones. Otherwise she will get eye strain, and possibly not see anything before you do. One can shoot someone else's rifle, even if the fit isn't ideal, so long as it is suitable, but one can't see what one can't see with binos. Think of it as buying some back-ups for yourself, or your next upgrade, at least until you hand them over.

I have some really cheap Leupolds, they are poro, and they cost about 150 retail and were for 55 new on ebay. They are not as nice as my 1980s Nikons, but they are as nice fine for spotting stuff that isn't hiding like channel parkers or watching deer in the garden.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
