Thank you for the offers of ammunition ,other bullets and brass.

Need these specific projectiles only for a load.

If you need 9.3 brass i have loads of once fired norma

Just out of interest sake. At what velocity do you shoot them to open up properly? I tried them at 2250 fps, which is where they regulated with my old Type A Mauser’s sights, but the results from a wet pack, as can be seen in the picture were not adequate for hunting. Now I’m back on Woodleigh RNs with great results.

Have you used this load before? As mentioned above, I would be worried about expansion. It would be worth stepping down in weight if you want to run a TSX

Load is for a friend, who has used TTSX and TSX in a number of calibers.
Yes , we (he and I) have had “penciling” with Barnes and other “monolithic “ “expanding “ types. Nonetheless, this is the projectile desired for this load.

I run TSX in my 375 and they expand nicely and retain their weight very well! I'm wondering if 2250FPS might be a little too slow to get full expansion??

It is 100% to slow. I shoot 45gr in a .222 at just short 3100 fps and 180gr in an 8x60S at 2750 fps with devastating effects.

As mentioned, that is unfortunately where the open sights regulate, and I am curious at what velocity a .286 gr TSX opens in a 9,3x62. I’ve had exactly the same experience with 286 gr Rhinos at 2300 fps and 300 gr Rhinos at 2250 fps. The advantage of the 300 gr rhino round noses is they now make a wonderful solid to put the rear of a departing giraffe if a client missed the vitals.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
