I am looking to sell my Ruger .416. I have the same caliber in my blazer so I don't need this one. I have not hunted with it, it has between 20 and 40 rounds through it to sight it in. I can't see any marks or scratches on it, but will need to look over it closely. It has Alaska arms qd scope mounts on it and a Leupold vx3 2.5x8 scope. I didn't keep any targets for it as I ended up fine-tuning my blaser instead. I would prefer to sell it with scope. I have $1500 in it and would sell it for that. I quickly took 3 pictures but can get more if desired.

I have seen your posts about other .416 but refrained because it wasn't exactly what you were asking for.

I’m definitely interested and the price is fine. If you wouldn’t mind sending a couple more pics that would be great. Like the bottom of the gun and a clearer pic of the barrel where it says what it’s chambered in that would be perfect. I’ve never bought a firearm from a private seller over the internet before. Someone who I had talked to said to have a date included in the pic if you wouldn’t mind. If it’s chambered .416 ruger I will most likely take it. My buddy who has the FFL is all lined up already so I can get you his info if everything checks out.

What would knowing the date the pic was took change? I hope someone can explain. I've been buying/selling/trading guns online since 2004 and not once have I heard this. Ever.

Seems like a 3X5 card with the day's date on it included in the foto might help reduce scams......would show that the foto is in response to the prospective buyer's inquiry, and that you actually possess the gun. And not some stock or file foto.....maybe....just speculating on a reason................best of luck with transfer...................FWB

That makes a little more sense. I had been told of people asking for pics of newspapers for different reasons.

Yeah I guess my thought process would be if there’s a pic with a flash card or a piece of paper with the date next to it would confirm that he actually has the gun and it’s not an old or fake pic used from online

I do see he’s an elite though so I’m not worried
