Looking for a bolt action 458 Lott. Looking for a good shooter that has character or a little rough around the edges.

Your best bet is going to be settling for a .458wm. Keep an eye out for Winchester to make a run of Safaris.

I have no problem with a 458 WM as long as it is chambered in a platform that can be converted to Lott.

458wm winchester 70's can be made into lott with extremely minimal modification. Reamer and remove mag spacer (if it even has it) and good to go as far as I understand.

Different bolt stop as well from what I have read.

Not a bad job.

I have had 3 458 Lotts and like the cartridge. But with today’s powders, if you are a reloader, the magic 2150 fps is doable with a 458 Win. Sure some folks want more but it has been proven for more then a 100 years that a 480 gr bullet at 2150 will get the job done on the biggest thick skinned animals.
And usually the $s are less.
Good luck with your quest.
