VV N-560

I found 8 lb. jugs of VV N-560 at Midway. They seem to have some powder in stock. Prices keep going up, so I bought a lot of N-560.

i use it in my cz 550 in 6.5x55 with 140 gr bullets and also in my remington 700 in .260 with the same 140 sierra gameking bullets. both rifle have a fast twist. both rifles shoot moa with my loads.

The "5" means it is "high density". You can get more of it into a case than N160.
the "60" means that it is relatively slow burning.
Should be good for many magnums, and other cartridges that have a bit of capacity but not a huge bore.

Thanks. Yes, N-560 has about the same burn rate as N-160, but is a double based powder (nitroglycerin added) so it has a bit more power from the same volume of N-160. It is easy to work with and meters pretty well.

I have a 25-'06, 280AI, 7mm RM, and building a 308 Norma Mag and I think it should work for all of these. I use N-150 in my 404 and developing loads with it for my 375 H&H.

I've used a few different Vihtavuori powders from fast pistol powders to middle of the range rifle powders and they all seem to meter well.

I have used quite a bit of VV over the years right now my 35 whelen AI is liking it n540 with 225 gr accubonds
