Rainy day share…

I procured this at an auction from a gentleman liquidating his collection. I have since purchased a fine combination gun from the same person.

I believe the original receiver was built between the world wars. Venus Waffenwerk was founded by an engineer named Oscar (Oskar) Will who is well known for his airguns. Unfortunately my knowledge of this rifles pedigree ends here. Whomever took the original receiver and completed this modern build eludes me.

A few specs -
Full octagon rust blue high luster 28” barrel
Cartridge carrier
Leather covered recoil pad
Beautiful case colored receiver and block lever
Typical tang mounted safety
Milled barrel mounted sling mount
Straight grain walnut stock with Bavarian cheek piece and trim stalker style forearm
Claw mounted 30mm rings encircling VX-6 1-6x24 scope.
Double Set Trigger
Folding Leaf rear sight
Fine checkering
From all appearances it seems unfired

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
