I have a friend who has a very nice Husqvarna 30/06 in great condition what is the value of these rifles. I don’t have pictures of it but he was asking only $350 for it. It’s got open sights might have had a scope on it once but it’s in good condition the blueing is nice the bore us good the stock is good

I see I didn’t take the time to inspect it much I can find out tho did the use small ring actions for 30-06 tho and would that model number or a model number be present

At $350 I will buy it sight unseen if he doesn't have another buyer already in the works...

The action alone of any Husky in reasonable condition is worth $350.. some would be worth more..

If its a functioning rifle in good condition its worth a good bit more than $350..

Was this model notorious for that cracking
If it is a split, not a crack, they are usually small and easily stabilized with accubond or a similar product used for glass bedding a rifle. I've done it to a few Husky's and the split did not change afterwards. It usually happens with the Arctic Birch stocks, it is NOT the same as paper Birch.

I had a Husqvarna M1640 30/06 listed at $400+shipping on AH for approximately 18 months. Condition was good. It was imported by Simpson Ltd. Action was drilled and tapped for top and side scope mounts which probably detracted from its value. Minimal interest. One member offered me $400 including shipping but they went dark soon thereafter. I recently sold it locally for $375.

I hope this helps.

Thank you gentlemen for the input I am actually debating on purchasing it for myself I love a Mauser rifle steel and wood but I am interested if the price of $350 is a run of the mill price or is actually a good find price for a functioning and well built gun to last hundred years it does that so the investment is small for the quality

Rifle sold I made contact just a bit ago so I guess I waited too long it’s alright I’ve got other mausers 1917s which are to me a better design thank you all for the input

Here's the target for the NorthForks - 25yds off a bag, iron sights. Hunting leopards over dogs the range won't be more than that.

Flew in an airshow in Smyrna years ago, beautiful country.

Best regards,

Franco
