There are probably thousands of these.

Realizing this is a hunting forum, I wonder though if anyone goes to just see the sights? My deal is that my wife and I want to go, and we are at a place in our lives where we can afford to go. Not big 5 in Tanzania money but not in a backpack either. We are both really enamored with Zimbabwe. Maybe see other countries nearby. Now going and tipping over a plains animal or two might be on the menu, a cull hunt would be cool, but there is little interest in dealing with bringing rifles, dealing with trophies, and etc. We mostly just want to see the country and experience things. We generally shy away from tourists, but we know that we can’t just go run around on our own. Ideally we would have a guide with us for several days that knows the ins and outs of what to do.

Who would be a good recommendation for a tour outfit or travel agent? We live in Alaska so anything we do hops off from Seattle, however I understand there are flights now from Anchorage to the E coast of the US.

Thanks in advance. I appreciate the wealth of knowledge here.

On my first safari in South Africa the outfitter also offered a guided tour either before or after the hunt or just a guided tour. I'm sure that there are a number of others that would offer that kind of a deal also.

After our hunt one of the PH's took care of our rifles and we were off for 10 days in South Africa. We stayed in B&B's for most of the time but we also stayed in a couple of hotels and private homes. We toured along the coast from Port Elizabeth to Capetown and then through the wine country to the country of Lesotho where we took a horseback ride into a remote village where we spent the night. It was a fantastic time.

For just a tour check with Jennifer at Travel Express. She may have information on what you want to do.

I did a self drive 14 day tourist trip to Zim 8 years ago and had a great time, exploring the national parks etc. This year was a self drive for 10 days in Namibia. Easily done and very fun.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
