third party flight booking

If you are going to book flights yourself, I would go directly to the airlines website and make the booking, you are much more in control with a direct airline booking.

If you have a connection it would ideally be with a partner airline in which case book the flight with the international carrier who will then also include the partner flight all on one itinerary.

I just achieved 2M miles of travel with Delta, you learn a thing or two as you experience many issues over the years with international travel! Booking with a third party is one of the worst things you can do (Expedia etc.) as you lose control. Booking with a good travel agent can also help when problems hit as they take on problems for you.

okay this is a big help. thank you

I agree with booking directly with the airline, hotel, etc. Less expensive overall and get benefits. I've booked 3 flights to South Africa for next year....always direct with airline. I did contact a ticket agent as instructed by Delts for senior citizen discount (10%). Agent wanted 33% more for the seat than I could get on line and said there were only 3 seats left (only a couple seats booked for June flight 2026 when I looked on line). Same cost savings booking City Lodge at the airport which we often use in Joburg.

There is zero chance that I would book an international ticket with an on-line agency. When a flight go to shit, which can and does happen, (last Africa trip I had 3 flights that went to shit and one was only solved by a new ticket from the ticket counter at the airport, all on Precision Air), good luck with the on-line agency.

best thing to do is to call Jennifer at Travel Express the best 200.00 you will spend on your trip

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
