Hi everyone!!
I don't know if it happens everywhere, or only in my country, but here an importer brought powders which he packaged in their own containers and labeled them as "IMR", 3031, 4350, 4064...
The same thing happened years ago, the powders degraded, this time they seem to be in good condition but I doubt their origin
Has it happened to you in your respective countries? Has IMR changed in shape, including burn rate or performance?
From already thank you very much

Appearance shoul be the same. Burn rates can change some, but I've never heard of anything significant with IMR powders.

But I have switched to H4350 from the IMR4350 I used for several decades, so I could be missing anything recent.

I would be very very leary and try to check what others have experienced with this importer.

I use IMR 4064 for most of my reloading.. it works great in my 308's, 300 H&H, 375 H&H, 416 Taylor, 30-06, 270, etc..etc.. I find it to be a very versatile powder..

So... you purchase 4064 nearly? Or have older powder?
Can you compare the older with the newer powder?

Ive been purchasing 4064 for almost 30 years.. I havent seen any serious changes from the older to the newer stuff at all...

Ok ok, thanks!
So it's just a phenomenon... Only in my country! HAHAHAHA
We'll have to see what they're selling for IMR.

If you buy some, I am happy to share some very good reloading data with you for your beloved shorty 308 :)

I get sub MOA accuracy out of 3 different 308 bolt actions using winchester primers, barnes 168gr TTSX, and a fairly moderate load of 4064 that sends the bullet out at about 2700 FPS.. Ive taken countless pigs, deer, and plains game with that same load ranging from impala to zebra and wildebeest..

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
