As some of you may remember there were several members who hunted Romania in 2020/2021 with an Outfitt called Romania Hunting Outfitters. The Owners name was George. None of us that hunted with George ever got our Trophies shipped to us. Even though I paid for mine to be shipped after paying for the hunt in whole.
Flash forward to 2025 and I am speaking with Alex Hinkins who owns Wings hunting and shooting. An outfit in England but he arranges hunts all over the world. I am traveling over to hunt England with Alex in December and we were just chatting about my upcoming hunt.
I mentioned that George had never shipped my trophies while talking to Alex about my experience. Alex told me that he actually knew of George and his dealings. He informed me that George had been trying to scam some of his friends out of money on a brown bear hunt and he had confronted him about it. Alex said hold on a minute and I am going to call George and get you your heads.
Maybe five minutes pass and I get a call through WhatsApp. It was George. He told me that Alex had called him and that he was going to get my heads to me ASAP. The next day he sent me pictures of my heads. Two Roe Bucks and a Fallow. We arranged for him to ship the heads to Alex’s Taxidermist in Hungary and Alex was going to handle the rest. After a couple weeks of George saying he would ship them etc and never doing it Alex called him and jumped his ass right proper and George told Alex he had ruined the heads by attempting to get them whitened by a newer Taxidermist and they would not survive shipping. This is after he sent me pictures of the heads ready to ship but I noticed they were not the correct heads and sent the pictures to Alex. When Alex confronted him about the heads not being mine, George said that his wife had taken the pictures and must have messed the heads up.
Alex told George he needed to pay me back in full on the hunt and the price of plane tickets.
I had little hope that would happen but Alex told me to let him know if it didn’t and he would be in contact with SCI and CIC about the matter.
Long story short the money hit my Account and thanks to Alex I was fully reimbursed.
George had switched his number years ago on me after I kept reaching out about him shipping my trophies.
I have yet to hunt with Alex and he has never made money from me. He simply helped me because he believed it was the right thing to do.
Also I want to note that George is NOT affiliated with Marius who is a sponsor on this page. I have hunted Romania with Marius and have no problems recommending him.
