Does anyone know where I can purchase tap sets? I have the Brownells number 2 set I need the number 1 set or similar. Must include 3, 4 & 5. Straight, taper & plug.

Go to that MSC link in the post above and order the 3pc sets they offer. I buy the Cleveland stuff there…..taper,plug,bottom. Their own brand is not bad either in general.

I'd be cautious about "Ozziestraightshooter". Just a new name for Industek who were the importers of Baikal and assorted Russian products.

Noticed their die and tap set for Martini-Enfield barrels lists a thread angle of 55 degrees whereas the Enfield barrel thread form was between 49 degrees 40 minutes and 50 degrees. You can force 55 degree Whitworth form, but not ideal.
