Hey Francois will send you a email.

How many sitatunga do you hunt a year?
Not as many as we would like to, as its pretty far down most trophy hunter's bucket list and unfortunately the cost of such a hunt doesn't make it any easier either. 2019 was our first season taking clients there, we went on 2 x separate safaris and got beautiful sitatunga both times. High numbers present, not over-hunted at all, with strict quota management...awesome area with amazing hunting memories.

Do you have pictures of the ones taken last year?

Great looking hunts!

So I gotta ask. Why 5 days? Are there so many Sitatunga you only need 3 or so days? A Sitatunga is close to the top of my most wanted list, so I'm looking at places to go. When I go to africa its 28-38 hrs to get there or more each way and a couple of thousand dollars. Personally I need/want more hunting days.
So how much a day for more hunting days? Other animals in that area that can be hunted? Thanks
Bruce

Hi Bruce, yes there are high numbers, and not over-hunted at all...and not all hunted from same machans/same areas..so 5 hunt days on Sitatunga has proven to be enough (and the black lechwe roams in herds of up to 2000 that we have encountered there last year - I have taken awesome video footage of this).

If you look at the complete offer as posted, you will see 2 things: list of extra species (for which we can add extra days based on which of those species you would like to pre-book for) and secondly the posted offer also states, near the top, that the hunt can be extended into the Kafue Basin in Zambia, with more species available there (and also packages we have for that section)....kindly send an email for full details please

Black Lechwe Paradise: seen herds daily of anything from 300 up to 2000 strong!!!!

There are two species of lechwes: Common Lechwe & Nile Lechwe

The Common Lechwe consists of three subspecies
· Red Lechwe (we hunt in South Africa)
· Kafue Lechwe (we hunt in Central- and South-Eastern Zambia)
· Black Lechwe (we hunt in Bangweulu)

Nile Lechwe, from the Nile floodplain in South Sudan (not huntable there)
There are only 2 areas to hunt the Nile Lechwe
In Texas, USA I believe
and
in South Africa (1 specific property, very limited quota, very high priced)

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
