Shipping quotes lately??????

From last February. See post #s 10 and 12.

I have five shoulder mounts, three euros and a rug being done right now. Hopefully I'll have an actual on the air freight costs in the not too distant future.

While prices and shipping congestions have been at all time highs lately......I have seen some pricing on shipping and it has come down significantly compared to what it was last year at this time and even early this year. I have seen some dip and pack shipping invoices recently in the $900-$1,300 range. Hoping to see this trend continue!

I had 10 mounts shipped earlier this summer, kudu, waterbuck, 2 reedbuck, bushpig, baboon, impala, duiker, steenbok and bushbuck. Right at 3000.00 I will hate to see what the roan, gemsbok, klipsringer, springbok and blesbok from June this year will cost. But the taxidermy in Africa has come a long way in quality and the cost is about half of what it cost in the states to do the work. I had the animals from my first Safari done here while the work was great but with the 6 month turnaround on the dip and pack and the year turnaround on the final taxidermy still looking at 18 months to 2 years to get trophies back as opposed to the 1 year if having the work done in RSA.

I was in SA in July 2021 and bagged 11 animals...Buffalo,Kudu,Roam,Blesbok,Sable,Warthog,Wilderbeast,Zebra and Klipspringer. the dipping & crating was $1305.00 and shipping with all the fees and Insurance was $2039.00. Hoping they will be shipping in the next week or two, Haven't gotten a bill from Pro Cargo shippers once animals are received by customs in Houston. They quoted me a price around $500 to clear customs, ship to my taxidermist here in Houston,Tx.
