Wanted to check and see who has participated in this program and what their thoughts were. Also get an idea of what items were purchased to include in the bag.

We took over one of the Blue Bags, plus a couple of suitcases of items. Had a total of about 120 lbs. of medical supplies and gifts for the kids. It was great! They needed everything.

Used them on all my safaris and think very highly of them. Used to have to return the blue bags or pay $10. Now they give them to you with a couple of soccer balls and pumps. Stuff it with school supplies and the cheapest socks, hats, mittens i could buy.

Just a quick note, Joburg has some new baggage rules that look like they will affect these bags. Not sure how but here is the thread https://www.africahunting.com/threads/new-luggage-restrictions-ort-johannesburg.48818/

Thank you for the reply MMAL, I did previously read the thread about the new rules...was glad I did as well, a gentlemen going with me was planing on packing in a duffel bag similar to the blue bags.

We are planing on purchasing most all the supplies once we arrive in Port Elizabeth so I'll be packing them in my suitcase till then.
We're looking forward to the adventure, we're planning on purchasing all the items you listed above as well as medical supplies. If anyone has used these previously and found things others haven't thought of that are needed or items that you look back and wished you'd purchased please chime in.

Why not just have your outfitter stop at a couple of stores when he pick you up for your hunt?

This is what we did and were able to purchase a lot more for the dollars spent than we would of if we would of purchased the supplies back in the US.
One store had all the soccer balls, school supplies, and other items. We then went to a drug store where we picked up medical bags and supplies.

We’re going to have the PH take us to the store in Port Elizabeth when we arrive.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
