I am a corporate pilot and will be flying a trip in January 2026 to Cape Town for 14 days. The routing will most likely be US-London-Cape Town. I have hunted Limpopo in 2024, airlining into Johannesburg. Two questions for you all and thanks in advance:

1. Hunting opportunities near Cape Town in January and on relatively short notice? I’m only familiar with the Limpopo, East Cape and Free State regions of South Africa.

2. Has anyone ever transported firearms in on a private aircraft? We’ll use an aircraft handling agent on the ground in Cape Town that I’m sure can facilitate this. Just curious about others experiences.

I have used charter aircraft all over Africa, never had a problem. Never used in Europe or Asia
