Those that created the music of our youth are slowly passing on. So many great lyrics.

Sad news. I regret never seeing him. Loved his music. Always said he was the best thing to come out of Canada since John C. Garand!

Waves on Lake Superior north of Munising were running 25-28 feet at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Dec 29, 2025, according to the National Weather Service Great Lakes Portal.

For comparison, the previous record high wave recorded on the Great Lakes was 34 feet, between Marquette and Munising on Oct. 25, 2017.

The towering waves on Dec. 29 would surpass those seen during the 1975 “Edmund Fitzgerald storm,” one of the most infamous storms in Great Lakes history.

I built the sails for the Golden Goose just after leaving High School it was a magnificent all wood sail boat. Sailed several times over the years on the boat.

He will always be remembered in the songs he performed !
