Key to note.. no major reputable news source, nor the DoD are currently confirming anything about two women passing 1st Phase of BUD/S...
nothing on Reuters, AP, etc..
Granted, the Navy doesnt make a habit of telling people who is currently in a BUD/S class, much less who is passing or not passing.. and IF two women had made it past 1st phase (almost always attributed to being the most difficult and where most fall out), I seriously doubt they'd be advertising it.. because the women and the Navy would be doomed from that point forward no matter what the final outcome becomes..
If they ultimately fail (always a high potential) then they were targeted, railroaded, etc and not given a fair chance..
If they make it, then the Navy let them get through due to political pressure, or a need to accomplish some tin foil hat objective..
Theres no winning...
Far better just to keep it quiet, let people observe that someone with boobs and long hair is still doing beach runs in Coronado after 8 weeks (Phase 1 is 7 weeks) and speculate.. than to actually confirm or deny anything until after the class graduates..
