So missile attack warnings being withheld as well......

Truth is and nobody will ever say it out loud, We actually need Russia to be stable and not weakened too much.

We like a weak Russia, but we don’t want the complete collapse. Where surrounding nations are picking off chunks of the carcass and we can’t control who has nuclear weapons.

In the future, when Russia does finally collapse from within, the US will be one of the nations helping to prop them up. For world stability.

Yeah, my daughter did pass the NY bar but the only time she ever was at court was to be sworn into NY bar. They have a litigation department that handles court cases. She just does mergers.
Actually I am confident you do need to pass the bar exam to practise law or hold yourself out as an attorney or practising law.

A law school degree is not a license to practise law, it is just a degree. The license is required to offer legal services to the public etc. Your daughter should not be doing those mergers without her license which requires passing the bar. I suspect this is why mdwest edited his comment.

There is no doubt this woman has exaggerated her qualifications in the past, but that strikes me a trivial issue overall.

About 1000 pages ago I stated my belief in what the globalists want, perhaps so does our own CIA? We want a proxy-state in Ukraine that enriches our interests that is run by a puppet government. The uniparty wanted this for decades, its why we conducted a coup in Ukraine and its why Pelosi, Biden, and Romney all had their kids sitting on major business boards in Ukraine to plan the wealth extraction. (I doubt any of them could find Ukraine on a map)

On the other related side, we want a disordered, inefficient, weakened Russia that is willing to trade with the west favorably out of desperation while perpetually living in fear of their Chinese border.

The best way to accomplish these goals of headless States that we can extract wealth from while feeling no threat of aggression is simple: A.) Take out a major breeding-age group of men, B.) Ensure an inverted population pyramid where their nation's GDP is redistributed disproportionately to healthcare for the aging, C.) Ensure the smaller social group of young people are so heavily taxed that primative industries are what survive, the exact raw materials type of economy that WE can control as the buyer.

I still hold that the globalists and the central planners of the west find the perpetual and unending meatgrinder occurring at the Russian/Ukraine front is "good news" for their global interests. Even better if it stays a stalemate while the bodies stack up and the costs weaken both economies...easier to control.

Not always the case…

Look at Virginia as an example. There is a separate license for those thst don’t practice in the courts.. no bar exam required

https://vsb.org/Site/Site/02_Lawyers/corporate-counsel.aspx

36 states in the US in fact do not require passing the bar to act in the capacity of corporate counsel…

I edited my comment with the intent of reposting when I had more time to grab relevant links and confirm what I already knew…

California requires nothing more than fingerprints, a letter of declaration from an employer, and annual registration to practice as a corporate counsel

California Rules of Court, Rule 9.46

New Jersey permits lawyers to act as corporate counsel under Rule 1:27-2 which permits registration/limited licensing for in-house representation

The list is long…

Regarding the new press secretary… she worked in California (no bar required for the role she held) and she worked in China where only Chinese citizens are allowed to sit for their bar equivalent… US and European attorneys are all over China however practicing law.. patent law, intellectual property law, corporate counsel, etc.. they simply aren’t admitted to the Chinese bar and can’t practice in the Chinese courts…

Beyond that, there are States where you can "read the law" like Maine and there are States like Wisconsin where you are automatically passed the bar exam if you receive a JD in their State. (only the character and fitness questionnaire remains)

I've worked in a legal-adjacent field for the majority of my career and about half of my employees have law licenses. Regardless of their possession of a law license and my lack of possession of one, the key commonality is neither of us is authorized to provide legal advice. It makes no matter, we're experts of our speciality and we simply tell in house legal "our legal advice is you need outside counsel legal advice, because problem X could grow legs".

Splitting hairs on whether someone is a lawyer, an attorney, a barrister, has a J.D., an LLM, an LLB, or is admitted to the bar in a particular State is an academic exercise up to the point someone hangs a shingle, appears before a judge, or gives legal advice.

I think it is a little more nuanced and restrictive than that.

For instance in the link you posted those rules only apply to lawyers who are in good standing members of another states's bar and:

"Corporate Counsel Registrants may not:

(1) practice Virginia law;

(2) represent their corporate employer in Virginia tribunals; or

(3) represent pro bono clients."

clearly forbids them from practicing Virginia law. What you are thinking about is more what we call mobility rules rather than practising law or being an attorney.

The California rule you cite says the same thing. But you still have to have passed the bar somewhere in the United States to qualify:

(c) Requirements

For an attorney to practice law under this rule, the attorney must:

(1) Be an active licensee in good standing of the bar of a United States state, jurisdiction, possession, territory, or dependency;

The New Jersey rule you cite says the same thing.

Yes, lots of States have mobility rules that allow you do to limited things in their state as long as you are a member in good standing of some state or national bar. That does not allow one to call oneself an attorney without passing any bar anywhere.

My understanding is that this lady has not passed the bar anywhere and thus should not be holding herself out an attorney.

So it's cool if someone who never held a commission to hold themselves out as a military officer?

So slowing stsrliink down means Ukraine anti drone drones are basically useless....along with it causing other major issues for the Ukrainians.....putin and his cronies must be laughing themselves stupid.....

Good lord I hope not , during the Bosnian conflict Clinton did that , the two bushes did during desert storm and the wot ! And it really fouled up the entire marine and aviation
Navigation system! It’s kinda dangerous to navigate when the signal is scrambled
At least it was for me ( had to resort back to loran C and it no longer exists)

No matter, as long as iron clad confirmation when complete.

Interesting hypocrisy eh?? the feigned outrage over this execution of a sub-animal being public by the same people who spread the video coverage and cheer each time a bunch of Russian soldiers are killed on the front. Hmm?

You're being obtuse and mixing metaphors. I gave you numerous examples of the variability of the profession, @mdwest gave you even more. Your approach was to attack @Tanks daughter as though she's a liar by conducting M&A rather than working inside a courtroom as though that's somehow scandalous.

In-house counsel in general rarely has a law license in the corporate State's domicile. In-House counsel doesn't litigate. Even if they did, which they wouldn't, they would ask for "pro hac vice" and be accepted in the court for the matter.

A.) Did someone hang a shingle as an independent business providing legal services? B.) Did they offer legal advice for outside firms/clients? C.) Did they approach the bench, assert to a judge they were attorney, and lacked a P-number?

I find it interesting a subject of the British legal system would be so pedantic. The rigor is less and there are a myriad of associates-degree level attorney/lawyer/barrister options under most british common law jurisdictions.

We're just telling you how things can work in America.

I never took the bar and I am limited to in my states ( Texas Oklahoma, Colorado)
  • Compliance Officer: Ensuring companies follow industry rules and government regulations.
  • Corporate Counsel / Contract Analyst: Reviewing and drafting business contracts internally (without acting as outside litigation counsel).
  • Mediator or Arbitrator: Helping parties resolve disputes outside of a courtroom.
  • Human Resources or Policy Advisor: Using legal knowledge for corporate policy, labor relations, or government affairs.
But it never stops friends from making requests for legal advice ( lol)

For the record, both my daughter and her husband passed the NY bar at first go. Neither of them are litigators though, she is in M&A and he was in business law and now works as a partner at a hedge fund.

Good or bad, Trump worked out a deal with Putin for a small quantity of diesel. Zelenskyy responded by hitting Russian refineries. Trump told Zelenskyy to stop. Zelenskyy continued to hit the Russian refineries. Trump evidently had the pentagon limit Zelenskyy’s access to Starshield.

Like the situation or not, when you rely on help from others in a war it is good not to hack your benefactor off.

Much as Hasan may be evil, he is not a sub-animal. He is indeed a human. Our collective decision to treat even our most evil enemies with humanity distinguishes and separates us from them -- and gives us the moral and ethical high ground. On a very practical matter, giving ISIS and the remaining Muslim terrorists free, forever propaganda and Hasan his wish to become a true martyr for Islam would backfire in the long-run.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
