Boys, I am expecting soon to receive cape buffalo scull from my hunt this year.

Those of you who have similar arrangement, can you me provide me with rough dimensions of the plaque?

I will then make it in my workshop.

I had in mind something like this, photo from internet. I just need at least length overall and width overall, final shape I will improvise.

Another question what wood do you use for this?

Here is mine. Just the inner section excluding the exotic trim 12 inches wide by 22 inches vertical as you are showing above

I get mine done in Africa because I like African teak plaques. If these are what you are looking for I’m happy to provide dimensions.

60x36 cm.

Unless you have a very high ceiling, mounting a buffalo skull flat on a plaque or wall does not display them well in my opinion. Doesn't display the drop and curl very well. I have mine tipped nose out at about thirty degrees.

Not sure why this double posted. I brought up the site and it showed my first post still being edited with no attachments.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
