I hope this isn’t a land mine topic, and I’m just trying to collect my thoughts on the NRA currently. Oliver North disappeared abruptly from the NRA scene, and I think his Outdoor Channel show seemed to cease just as quickly. Wayne LaPierre stuck around for a while, and now he and his finely tailored suits are gone. The organization has thankfully moved on since those two clashed, so I’m wondering if the NRA today has finally found a way to proceed with integrity and transparency? Yes, it’s the biggest voice for us as gun owners; not interested in any sermons to the choir. I’m just curious what the group’s thoughts on today’s NRA leadership and direction, before I contribute any funds once again. Thanks.

I think the new board members are turning the ship around. But it's a big ship (too many board members) and will take some more time. I doubt they are buying the new ED suits.

I've been a member for quite a while, through the good and the bad and believe that it is getting turned around.

We actually have a member on the forum here who is a member of the NRA Board of Directors @jpr9954 and I am sure that he could answer your questions on what direction that they are moving in.

I am waiting to see. Any organization where the executives live in great luxury off our donations bothers me greatly. I always go on their own uses of funds any charity or public member club has to provide. If I don’t see 80%+ of the money going for what the charity/club is supposed to be doing they don’t get my money. United Way and NRA failed terribly in this with the opposite happening in reality and both organizations got caught. The other two organizations horribly guilty of this is the Humane Society and PETA…People Eat Up Talking About Animals, sorry I could not resist

I’m in wait and see mode as well…

My wife and I are life members… that’s a sunk cost that can’t be recouped.. we also volunteered a couple of times at the national convention, and used to attend, and spend a pretty healthy amount of money at local friends of the NRA banquets, etc… we both hold NRA instructor and range safety officer certifications, etc..

Sending more money to the NRA has been on pause for several years, we no longer attend local functions, and haven't volunteered at the convention in a long while…

Instead our focus has been on other organizations that we’ve felt are more aligned with our values like FPC, GOA, etc..

I’m am very hopeful the NRA continues to right the ship… they’ve got a lot of work to do to recover… but I think there are now some executive and board level leaders in place that have the memberships best interests at heart…

Once I am completely confident that the organization is back on track, I’ll very gladly start sending in money, attending events, and volunteering again..

They will get no money from me until I actually see them do something to roll back all these laws that are unconstitutional.

I don’t want more cheap talk. I want to see actions. No actions no money. They broke our trust and it will take more than talk to get it back.

GOA is waaay better than the NRA. Send the money there.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
