Non Exportable Cheetah / Lion Experiences

Hello,

I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched and did not see a thread.

I have seen more and more deals and offers on both Lion and Cheetah (or honestly ANY non US exportable game) and wanted to reach out to those who have hunted either or both of these.

Did you enjoy the hunt? I would assume so, but was it also hard 'NOT' bringing the trophy back to the US?

Also, in terms of what you could do to memorialize the hunt - did pictures alone suffice? Or did you then obtain the faux skull or cape that many offer, and how did that look, feel? If so, who did you use and how did that work out? Any pictures to share?

One of our sponsors on here @kowas offers limited cheetah hunts. I didn't see one when I was there but you might reach out to them. I would have gladly taken one if the opportunity arose, even not importable. Lion hunts from outfitters that have solid conservation records from some countries are importable. I have seen the replica mounts from Kanati and they are passable replicas. They are too perfect-no flaws or scars etc. Hope that helps.
