So far most of what I have been doing is learning. I have been hunting in Montana with my dad since I was a little kid but planning for Africa adds a whole range of complexities that I have never dealt with, and I haven't even left yet, ! Just figuring out what gun to take and how to get the rifle and ammo across the pond requires several unfamiliar steps...4457, SAP 520, permits,etc. All the planning is fun but I'm really looking forward to actually going!

What part of eastern Montana? I've enjoyed hunting deer and antelope there for almost 50 years, and I made my first hunt in South Africa 25 years ago. Time flies !
