Don't know if anyone else has posted this yet.

Just back from a safari with Adam Clements Safari Trackers in the Moyowosi and I wanted to let anyone interested know about the new visa and visa requirements. Last year I went on safari with Kilombero North and the e-visa process was simple, not so this year.

Please give yourself 2 to 3 weeks to complete the on-line questionnaire and have TZ immigration get back to you. The form is much longer with a couple of uploads you must do now and only the multiple entry visa at $100 is available to American citizens. I didn't get mine back until the day before I flew which caused a bit of consternation so don't delay the process.

I flew Turkish Air and arrived at the airport in Dar at 2:30am thinking I would get through quickly... not so. A number of flights had gotten in and the airport was packed. All immigration lines were long. And woe to those who had to apply for a visa upon arrival and then go through immigration, the queue was horrendous!

A word to the wise... and well traveled. E-visa and do it early!

I’m not sure what the process was, but I did mine in one sitting earlier this year. Looks like I submitted March 31 and got approval on April 11. I do remember it was frustrating trying to shrink file sizes to the allowable maximum sizes, but that was only difficult part I can remember. Flying into and out of Kilimanjaro was the easiest African airport experience I’ve had to date.

Yup, I did mine in July. That file size was sure enough annoying but I got my e-visa about 7 days after. On arrival the visa line was long definitely sped things up having the visa ready.

same thing here in ~ April of this year - 1980’s file size, but otherwise straight forward.

Gracy did mine for me as part of the fee this summer. I am sure it's easy enough to do yourself. It's not like on the old days when you used to have to send your passport and postal money order to a consulate and get your Visa, which was easy too, just time consuming. More first world problems.

On another note, I understand Tanzania mainland is going to force you to buy Tanzania Health Insurance just like Zanzibar. I also heard, they are going to increase the visa fee too.

For Tanzania being a socialist country, they sure understand charging "all the market will bear."

Off note,

Your hunt looked incredible…
That lizard and buff #2 , wow!

Adam posted some trophy pics on IG
ACS seems to have the best of the moyowosi eco system.

(May not be you, but looks like it timing wise) haha

That wasn't me... close though. The gentleman came in after me and shot that croc after we saw him sunning on a sandy bank and let Adam know about him. I already have a couple of crocs. My safari has the buff, topi and tigerish pix in it. Hopefully when I get caught up I will post a hunt report.

Just received your book. It will be a Christmas present from my wife. Looking forward to read it.
