I apologize if this is the wrong area to post this.

A year ago, as the decision was made to go to Africa, my wife told me to keep a journal or blog about the whole thing as I like to write. I have hesitated to post the link till more of the hunt story was written but decided to weigh in on the Bachman Lion Hunt controversy.

I kept up to date throughout the hunt selection process and early trip preparation, but haven't written since I got back. I have thought a lot about what I want to write and so forth so the ideas are in my head.

Many of my posts were describing the hunt selection process and I hope I don't offend anyone(especially with my elimination of South Africa) with my descriptions of the thought process I went through.

The writing bug has bit me again as I felt compelled to weigh in on the Melissa Bachman controversy. Nothing I wrote will be new here to anyone, but I was trying to write more for a lay audience. Any thoughts on improving the column for a lay audience will be appreciated.

Looking forward to your hunting report and pics. The part of your blog about Maroi is well written.

Thank You. Now I have put pressure on myself to produce something. Now that I have been there, I cringe as I look back at some of my early posts, but I am glad I wrote as much as I did as it reproduces my state of mind at the time.

Congratulations on some nice trophies. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Congrats on your hunt and nice trophies, thanks for sharing !

Thank you for some very interesting reading , and congrats on your success while in Africa. Great pics.

I have now written the blog up to Day 3 of the safari. Haven't been hunting yet because of Zimbabwe problems, but that is all part of the story.

My latest post is about elephant overpopulation and damage in Chobe Park, and by extension, Botswana. If anyone here could tell me where I am mistaken, or if anyone could add info, I would appreciate it.

That post may get buried as I may post other stuff today, so just scroll down.

My next series of posts will be of a mostly lighter nature about Chobe Park.

Thanks for picture post. Nice buffalo!

Thank you. Work has stopped me from getting farther than my impala hunt-I have to get back to it sometime soon.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
